Gods are divine beings who grant luck to their followers. Gods also have special God Raids that they can spawn once a week.

Every God's followers luck is set on Monday and can vary from 0.00 (100% less than average) to 2.00 (100% more than average), where the default luck is set at 1.00.

Some God use luck boundaries, which limit how far the randomly set luck may deviate from the average luck.

History

- Gods were initially added in the v4.0 release on July 31st 2019.

- On August 7th 2019, Deimos was renamed to Gambit. Ananke and Jesus were added on that day as well.

- On August 19th, God of Salutations was renamed to Salutations.

- On August 28th Seren was removed as a God as a consequence of being botbanned.

- On January 18th, Gods lost the ability to change their followers' Luck by themselves. The bot will randomly generate Luck instead. This decision was made due to poor management of Luck giving players an unfair advantage.

- On February 5th, luck boundaries were added. The bot will generate the random luck within those boundaries.

- On March 31st, Tet and Eden were added.

- On December 30th, Tet, War God Fox, Salutations, Asmodeus, and Guilt were removed and Kirby, Lyx, and Monox were added.

Choosing a God

You may choose the God you follow with the command $follow, scrolling through the choose menu and confirming using the blue circle reaction. Since Gods can severely alter your Luck, it is advised to carefully decide whether a player would like to follow a God of not.

A player can change the God they follow twice after the initial following. Each time they do, a reset point is consumed. $unfollow can also be used to return to atheism, but note that this cannot be undone under ANY circumstances as it sets your reset points to negative values.

List of Deities

The Assassin - Karmic retribution type. The judge, jury, and executioner. No one really knows of him or his real name. He is shrouded in mystery, but there are still those who offer to him to keep him at bay or to strike down their foes.

The Assassin's luck boundaries are set from 0.75 to 1.25.

Kvothe - I have been called Kvothe the Bloodless, Kvothe the Arcane, and Kvothe Kingkiller. I have earned those names. Bought and paid for them. I have stolen princesses back from sleeping barrow kings. I have spent the night with Felurian and left with both my sanity and my life. I tread paths by moonlight that others fear to speak of during day. I have talked to Gods, loved women, and written songs that make the minstrels weep. I am Kvothe. You may have heard of me.

Kvothe's luck boundaries are set from 0.70 to 1.30.

Eden - Eden is a goddess of sanctuary, protection and nature. People whisper prayers to her to keep them safe from danger and to find sanctuary from those who wish them harm. Her garden lays deep in the world filled with beauty and splendor. Those who seek it must travel into the depths of nature and pass the trails of the gatekeeper to enter.

Eden's luck boundaries are set from 0.5 to 1.5.

Jesus - Sent from God to end the suffering and to bring light back where it is needed the most.

Jesus' luck boundaries are set from 0.00 to 2.00.

CHamburr - Omniscient. Omnipotent. Omnipresent. An all-round god powered by endless streams of blood, with the one goal -- of flowing it through all mankind. The day he was born, he promised to give his unexhaustive love equally to everyone...

CHamburr's luck boundaries are set from 0.80 to 1.20.

Kirby - Kirby is an adorable pink puffball that has seemingly has a bottomless stomach. A reincarnation of a god of destruction, this gluttonous creature has killed many powerful beings and gods, even chasing down someone across the universe because they stole his cake. Besides that, Kirby is a jolly and clueless god who only requires his cake and sandwiches.

Kirby's luck boundaries are set from 0.00 to 2.00.

Lyx - Lyx was born among the stars when the universe was in chaos. After multiple events of cosmic proportions, he finally found a home in a cozy galaxy - the Milky Way. During the day he is a kind and protective god but in the night the immortal changes into an evil and cruel entity.

Lyx's luck boundaries are set from 0.60 to 1.40.

Monox - Monox is pog

Monox's luck boundaries are set from 0.00 to 2.00.

Comments

It doesn't really matter at the moment which God you follow, the only difference between the gods are their luck bonuses (which change every week), their raids and their way to deal with their favour.

Please note that every God is an actual user in the IdleRPG support server and may be unavailable due to personal reasons.
